CLASSES

We are a "learning congregation."  We endeavor to further our knowledge of G-d through traditional text study, participatory learning (in other words everyone contributes by preparing a portion of the class) and through this, we work towards strengthening our community.  We also encourage chevruta study (two or three people studying a particular topic).

TMCC hosted an interfaith panel discussion on “reincarnation.”
In view of growing interest in the world about reincarnation, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) offered a panel discussion on “reincarnation” on Saturday, October 22, open to public.

Coordinated by Hindu leader Rajan Zed, other participants besides him in this panel discussion include Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church Pastor Bruce Taylor, Northern Nevada Muslim Community Vice President Sherif Elfass, Reno Buddhist Center Priest Jikai’ Phil Bryan, Temple Beth Or Rabbi ElizaBeth Beyer, Pagan High Priestess Ellyn Bryans-Darrah and religion professor William Gifford.

Hillel Students:  Find us on FaceBook for meeting times.  Nevada Hillel

Music Group:  We will meet for the HHD 2012.  Let us know if you are interested.  We start practicing in July for HHD.

Hebrew tutoring available.  Learn how to read Torah (Bible) or the Siddur (Prayerbook).  Currently a class is being taught at TMCC by Nurit Stites!  Classes for bar/bat mitzvah children available too.

Do you live out of town and you want to learn?  We use Skype!  Skype enables people to see and speak with each other over the computer.  It is a free download to use Skype.  Think about what you are interested in learning.  Maybe we know someone who is interested in working in chevruta (a study buddy who will work on the same area of Jewish learning along with you).
